Scientist Crop Bioinformatics

Wageningen University & Research (WUR), partner of G2P-SOL, is currently looking for a Scientist Crop Bioinformatics to contribute to mine existing whole genome resequencing collections, develop novel de novo genome assemblies and understand concept of pangenomics in crops such as potato, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, chrysanthemum, kale, kohlrabi, and/or onion, especially focusing on members of the Brassica family in close collaboration with researches and scientists from the crop research teams. Outcomes of the research will be used to understand the evolution /domestication of crops and understand (suppression of) recombination / genome ploidy and contribute to feeding the world in the (near) future.
