“As the coordinator of G2P-SOL I am responsible for the overall management and scientific coordination of the project. Within G2P- SOL, we focus on the four main food Solanaceous crops: potato, tomato, pepper and eggplant. My vision of G2P-SOL is to make all the genetic material that is presently stored in genebanks available to the general public, to scientists and breeders. This will raise awareness of the available diversity and will stimulate the use of this genetic diversity in breeding programs.”
